Q: How will master programmes where working in the lab isn\’t mandatory (like environmental biology) be affected by new regulations resulting from the covid-19 crisis?A: If you don’t need to work in a lab, you can still do a project. Field work is still possible, but I think this is usually doen within a Major Research Project. Whe you have to go abroad, you have to adhere to the rules about traveling abroad.

If you don’t need to work in a lab, you can still do a project. This requires your intended Examiner to indicate on the application form that the project will not affect lab-time or lab-capacity for students in major research projects.
Field work is still possible, but this is usually done within major research projects. The other situation is usually within a minor research project abroad. When you have to go abroad, you have to adhere to the rules about traveling abroad according to the UU, the Netherlands and the country of destination.
